Roman, early Imperial period, ca. late 1st century BCE to 1st century CE. A pair of unique bronze openwork earrings, each featuring a spherical cast bead at the end of a curved hoop; these spheres are studded by dozens of tiny bronze granulations. Size of one (they are nearly identical): 1" W (2.5 cm)
Provenance: ex-Davis collection, Houston, Texas, acquired before 2013 from various auction houses in London and New York
