Description
An antique Japanese decorative vase, cast of brass with a baluster shaped body and short and wide neck. The surface is decorated with a pictorious scene made using the cloisonne enamel technique and depicting a nightingale sitting among bamboo stalks and plum blossom branches on a sky blue ground. The base and the neck are adorned with a cloud motif. Unmarked. Dated from the late 19th to the early 20th century.
