Description
An antique Japanese Ando Jubei silver mounted cloisonne vase from the Meiji period featuring an elegant square form with a deep saturated dark blue enamel. Depicts native floral images to each of the four silver wire framed panels. The outer borders and shoulders are decorated with stylized and silver wired floral details. Marked on the bottom. The silver base mount is hallmarked with a silver mark. Circa the early 20th century. Ando Jubei, 1876 to 1953, was one of the most important cloisonne artists in Japan and was highly acclaimed for his artistry and refined work. Total weight: 174 g.
