Description
Pair of French bronze mounted marble bouillotte candle lamps in the transitional Louis XV/XVI taste, (non-electrified), 19th/20th century, each having an adjustable green tole shade, fluted tapering quiver form stem issuing two curving acanthus arms, and rising on a stepped rais-de-coeur base, apparently unmarked.
Provenance: Acquired from Tom Hayes & Associates in Atlanta, GA in 1988 for $2200.
