Description
Crusaders Period, Ca. 1100-1400 AD. A solid bronze ring comprising a circular band, shield-shaped shoulders linearly decorated, and a large round bezel engraved with a cross inscribed within a circle flanked by a decorative band. Good condition. The cross, the principal symbol of Christianity, recalls the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and the redeeming benefits of his Passion and death.
