Housed in an antique, carved giltwood frame with Pacific Art Pictures, San Francisco gallery sticker on reverse. Label affixed to reverse with biographical information from Edan Milton Hughes's 1986 publication ARISTS IN CALIFORNIA 1876-1940 concerning Bauer. Late 19th/early 20th century. Sight: 11" H x 17 1/2" W. Frame: 16" W x 22 1/2" H. 2nd item: Unsigned oil on canvas landscape with lake, autumnal trees, and distant mountain range. In the foreground an empty rowboat sits on the lake's shore. A setting or rising sun is obscured by clouds. Housed in an antique, carved giltwood frame with botanical ornamentation. Likely 20th century. Sight: 11 1/4" H x 19 1/4" W. Frame: 16 1/4" H x 24 1/4" W.
