Haring's Pop Shop series emerged alongside the artist's shops that were opening in New York and Tokyo in the mid-1980s. The stores were a continuation of the communicative way that the artist's subway drawings were able to be experienced by a wide range of people. This print from Pop Shop II is a brilliantly coloured example of Haring's iconic moving, outlined figures.
