Description
two very old hand carved wooden serving platters with wooden ladles, from the Tarahumara indians of Chihuahua Mexico. The dishes shows extensive use over generations, likely dating to the early 20th century. This set was collected in 1967 in situ by Paul Hendricks and were part of the permanent exhibition at the Museum of Oddities in metamora Indiana since the 1980's until 2019 when the Museum closed. The largest dish measures 19 x 11 inches, the largest lade measures 16 inches long.
