1. The word "In the style of" is used for a work by an unknown creator who has created a copy of a known work by the named artist.

He was an American painter, sculptor, and teacher. He was involved in the Funk and Nut art movements in the California Bay Area. De Forest's art is known for its wacky and comical fantasy lands filled with bright colors and creatures, usually dogs. De Forest's first exhibition was in 1955 and the work reflected the influence of Abstract Expressionism, along with a growing interest in assemblage. Beginning in 1960 and throughout the decade, De Forest had many solo shows at the Dilexi Gallery in San Francisco, directed by Jim Newman. He continued to present paintings and other forms of art in exhibitions for over fifty years until his death in 2007.NOTE: The painting on Boards are sold alone, without a frame. Thanks.
