Soup Cans (Gold on Grey) is an important early and iconic print by the British urban artist Banksy. It is a satirical play on Andy Warhol's soup cans which propelled the artist to worldwide fame. Here, Banksy substitutes a cheap, "extra value" can of tomato soup from British supermarket chain Tesco for Warhol's Campbell's. The present works comes from a small edition of only 12 works featuring gold accents along the upper portion of the 4 cans.
