Description
A Chinese oil spot bowl dating from the Jin dynasty (265-420). Small and exquisite oil spot stoneware tea bowl with speckled oil spots inside and outside. the deep rounded sides rising from a short foot, covered overall with a lustrous black galze, suffused with irregular metallic russet "oil spot", the glaze falling short of the foot to leave an unglazed area covered with dark brown slip
