Description
1930 Fairy Tales ART East of the Sun West of Moon Asbjornsen Moe Kay Nielsen

Peter Christen Asbjørnsen was a 19th-century Norwegian folklorist alongside Jørgen Engebretsen Moe. They focused their writing toward legends of Norway and Scandinavian ancient lore.

This scarce 20th-century collection of fairy tales is filled with the illustrations of Danish-American artist Kay Nielson. Nielson is remembered for his role on Disneys Fantasia and was heavily influenced by the works of Rackham, Dulac, and Dore. These color illustrations are regarded as some of best during the Golden Age of Illustrations.
