Gore (OHIO 1910-2009) was known for the liveliness of her drawings, a quality that is certainly on display in this work. She studied art education at the University of Akron from 1929–30 and several years later graduated from the Cleveland School of Art, now known as the Cleveland Institute of Art. Gore worked as a fashion artist at the M. O’Neil Company, a regional department store based in Akron, and exhibited her work at the Akron Art Institute (now the Akron Art Museum). 18" x 23 1/2".
