Description
South America, Argentina, ca. early to mid-20th century CE. A handsome gaucho cowboy tirador belt comprised of broad leather straps and appliques in 75% silver and nickel-silver. The silver rastra (medallion) of the Argentinian coat of arms held in place by 6 chains with terminal crest like buttons sewn to the leather belt. The rest of the nickel-silver appliques are cut into discs and stars, a striking combination! Size: 38" L x 4.5" W (96.5 cm x 11.4 cm)
