Giovanni Battista Piranesi, Italian, 1720-1778. Etching on laid paper titled "Tempio detto Volgarmente di Giano" (The So-Called Temple of Janus) from the "Vedute di Roma" (Views of Rome) series. Signed "Piranesi F" in the plate lower center, numerals "776" and "24" in the plate upper right. Minor toning, not examined out of frame. Image 21 1/2 x 14 1/4" high, in a painted wood frame with minor wear, 29 1/4 x 25 1/2" high overall. ESTIMATE $400-600
