PRE CIVIL WAR 1850's Red & Green Oak Leaf & Acorn Applique Antique Quilt!
This GORGEOUS cotton 1850's red and green oak leaf and acorn wreath quilt is hand appliqued and hand quilted, with a wonderful swag border. The quilt came out of central Pennsylvania.

It measures a generous 80" X 82" and is in very good condition, with light surface dirt, some age staining, and subtle color mellowing in places (see photos).
The quilting is superb, with quilting around the applique and in close straight line designs in the background, all at an even 8-10 stitches to the inch.
The back is antique white, the hand stitched binding is solid red, and the batting is thin. You can see cotton seed residue inside when you hold the quilt up to the light.
The DYNAMIC DESIGN, LUSH QUILTING, and GREAT COLORS make this MUSEUM QUALITY 19th century MASTERPIECE stand out!
