Description
A-030 German city of Lubben "Ehrenburger - Brief" presented to the new "REICHSKANZLER of the GERMAN REICH - HERRN ADOLF HITLER". Dated "7 April 1933". Hand lettered, highlighted and color artwork on the 15" x 10 1/2" two-page hard-stock document. With 9 ink signatures of city officials. A 4 1/2" x 3 1/2" relief embossed medieval type eagle shield is mounted on the front of the brown leather cover along with a leather "STADT LUBBEN" name plate. Inside cover has a light brown silk lining (water stained). Also with a form letter from the office of the Chancellor Adolf Hitler, thanking the city officials for their gift of awarding a city honorary citizenship proclamation/document to Hitler. Because of the busy nature of the office of the Chancellor, patience is asked for the time regarding the application/acceptance for this award. Dated "6 July 1933". (From the Donald G.
