Association copy. Frederick R. Burnham's copy with his bookplates and a gift inscription to him. After spending his early years in the American West, Frederick R. Burnham (1861-1947)) gained his greatest fame assisting the British in their efforts to stabilize southern Africa. Having learned Indian woodcraft as a child in Minnesota he would influence Robert Baden-Powell and the worldwide scouting movement. Lynch's Armenia: Travels and Studies is reputed to be the best account in English of Armenia before the genocide.
