Description

Size 10 1/2. Gilt bronze. Rounded face band in full col with about 1/4 turn overlap. One end is shaped like a stylized serpent with a flattened nose and angled eyes. 2.8mm width. The coil or helix was a favorite form for Vikings and evidently held supernatural significance to them. Textured from burial. Sound wearable condition and professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored. See the reference image which shows the process. Gift boxed with a certification of authenticity.
