Description
Monstrance Austria, Vienna, 1757, master Ignäzius Jacobus Fläckl (1737-57) silver, partly gilded. Hollow foot with a wide fit and embossed palmettes and fluting. Jointed baluster stem. Richly decorated with chased volutes, rocailles and putti heads. Surrounded by a gilded ray nimbus. Reliquary containing unknown relic in oval silver box. Crowning cross of the ray nimbus is missing. Hallmarked on the front with assay mark, date and fineness ''13'' and master mark ''IF''. H. 28,5 cm, 354 g. See: Viktor Reizner, Alt-Wien-Lexikon, p. 174, No. 642.
