Samuel Clemens visited Laurence Hutton, a literary editor of Harper magazine in Prinston. During this visit, on May 10, 1901, Mark Twain was made an honorary member of the Princeton University s Cliosophic Literary Society.
On verso attached, NY Times article and the provenance letter.
