George Biddles works inceramic are unique and very rare.
Biddle played a major role in establishing Federal Arts Project (1935-1942) by encouraging his classmate President Roosevelt, to create the Works Progress Administration (WPA) during the Great Depression, which produced hundreds of thousands publicly funded artworks. Biddle has created series of WPA murals and paintings, incl. the Tenement mural for the Dept. of Justice building in Washington, D.C. and drawings of the opera Porgy and Bess.
