A collection of eleven Persian and Egyptian sterling silver items
various makers and dates
Comprising a set of four Persian sterling napkin rings, each with a Persian mark to upper rim; a Persian sterling dish with Muzaffaruddin Shah 5000 dinar coin and marked "VARTAN" "84" to interior; a small Persian sterling vase with maker's mark in Farsi and Persian 84 mark to underside; an unmarked pair of Persian silver-plated vases; a round, Egyptian .600 silver snuff box marked with lotus blossom hallmark, illegible date and town marks, to underside; an Egyptian .900 silver, non functional, decorative hookah with Arabic mark to top tier and to underside; and an Egyptian .800 silver cylindrical box with paste gemstone set lid, with probable Cairo city/assay office mark, post-1946 lotus blossom, and Arabic date mark to underside, interior of lid, and bottom rim of body. Condition
Hookah with small crack to upper base rim, tarnishing. Cylindrical box with dents to top rim causing lid to be ill-fitting, probable repair to rim of lid at seam. Minor dents to napkin ring rims. Pair of vases with dents to rims and underside, one with deep abrasion to one side. Small vase with minor dents to underside.
