'Perplex' and 'Fluid of Life' brooches, with two porcelain brooches
Robin Kranitzky and Kim Overstreet started their creative collaboration in 1985. Mutually interested in ceramics, they began creating mixed-media jewelry using found objects and fragments of different materials. Their intricate and narrative brooches are miniature scenes inspired by surrealist themes, theater, and fairy tales. They are highly collectable and can be found in American and international museums.
Comprising two brooches by Kranitzky & Overstreet; 'Perplex', #1612, c. 1992, of brass, balsa, copper, Plexiglass, polymer clay, lead foil, glass stones, and found objects; 'Fluid of Life' #1602, c. 1991, of mixed media; together with two porcelain brooches of a lizard and butterfly by Jewely10
