Rare Neidhardt & Schmidt SA dagger with scabbard. A very fine example, with untouched pommel nut and cross guards also in fine condition, showing just the smallest traces of corrosion. The wood grip shows only a tiny dark spot near the SA button, which itself is perfectly fitted and clearly visible. The inset eagle is also perfectly fitted and very fine. The blade on this dagger is excellent, despite the fact that the top of the blade displays only very tiny nicks here and there. The 'Alles fur Deutschland' motto is still very dark and distinct, though the maker's mark has lightened considerably.The painted scabbard two dings and it has been repainted. The plated fittings have either been heavily cleaned or replaced with modern repros, with an original leather hanger. Very good to fine.
