A Phoenician glass head pendant
Circa 6th-4th Century B.C.
Rod-formed with a yellow face, the blue eyes with white and blue rims, a white mouth, wearing a blue and white striped headband, with a blue suspension loop, 2.4cm high

Condition
The head appears to be intact, except for a white bead earring that has been added and attached, presumably there was another earring which is now missing. There is a very small chip in the centre of the forehead. There is overall surface wear including pitting, chipping and scratching. There is a minute (2mm diam.) bruise at the back of the head beneath the suspension loop. Some reddish core remains on the interior at the back of the head.
