An antique amulet style necklace, containing three pieces of carved blue turquoise. The turquoise have been carved to depict Islamic calligraphy and floral patterns and the carvings has been filled with gold leaf paint. The reverse of the turquoise pendants are decorated with floral and celestial designs and are accented by three antique oval shape mixed cut natural rubies and 18 round cabochon cut natural rubies. The rubies show no evidence of heat enhancement and are Burmese (Myanmar) in origin, and weigh approximately 1.25 carats total, together with three old mine cut diamonds weighing approximately 0.15 carat total. The pendants are high karat gold (22K) and the chain necklace is 18K yellow gold and measures 44 cm in length.
