Description
For your consideration is this refreshed original Faries Mfg Co. "Cobra" or "Eye Saver" art deco streamline machine table lamp. New twist cord. Patented in 1947 by Jean Otis Reinecke, (1909-1987) issued Pat. No. 146987. Collectors and dealers have historically falsely attributed this lamp design to Norman Bel Geddes. Also Will Masterson has been tangentally associated with this design over the years. Measures a nominal 12.25" high with an 11" shade, the base is 7 7/8" Study the images as they are part of the description. Featured in the Fairies 1952 catalog as model #60243. Fairies 1952 catalog featured this magnificent lamp as "The Eye Saver" Let the attribution debate continue ! In excellent condition
