Description
Rogers Hornsby: 1933 St. Louis Cardinals. HOF and Batting Legend Rogers Hornsby Signing His Name and Three Fellow Players, JSA Certified (1896-1963) Regarded as one of the greatest hitters of all time, Rogers Hornsby had 2,930 hits and 301 home runs in his career. He had a long career with the St. Louis Cardinals ending in 1926 but returned in 1933. One quite never knows the circumstances regarding a great many autographs obtained in baseball approaching a 100 years ago, but here Hornsby has signed his name to a leaf from a fan's autograph book and added fellow players Dizzy Dean, Jimmie Wilson and Pepper Martin. For what reason is a mystery. James Spence and Associates has certified this piece as all players written in the hand of Roger Hornsby.
