Description
Sea of Japan, 21st century. A rare mount of a giant Japanese Spider Crab (Macrocheira Kaempferi) which is the largest crab on earth. This example in its current position spans approximately 5 feet. The body alone is 12 1/2" long. Such mounts are extremely rare., This example has been meticulously cleaned and infilled with a light weight foam.
If assembled, the shipping would be prohibitively expensive, so it will be shipped disassembled. Reassembly using hot glue is a simple process as all segments are numbered. The finished mount is very lightweight and thus easily hung on a wall.
Dimensions: As mounted- approximately 5' across. Body is 12 1/2" long.
