XL Signed (lower right) Kozo Inoue, Framed Pavot Noir, Silk Screen. A surrealistic silkscreen print, print 58/ 120. Shows a purple hued scallop shape among a black background. Framed in a white minimal frame followed by white matting, behind glass. Minor wear to frame, scuffs and scratches present (see photos). NOT EXAMINED OUT OF FRAME. Whole piece measures approx 47.2t x 35.25 inches. Kozo Inoue was a contemporary Japanese printmaker. Born in Osaka, he graduated from the Department of Art History at Keio University in 1960. He is known for his surrealistic silkscreen prints. His prints can be found in the Museum of Modern Art, Paris, Royal Library of Belgium, Modern Museum of Art Osaka and the Spencer Museum of Art, to name just a few.
