Description
1869 Queen Victoria MAP Her Majestys Tower of London Castle England History

William Hepworth Dixon was a 19th-century English historian who, in 1873, began working toward making the Tower of London available to the public. In the years leading to this movement, Dixon wrote a historical treatise on the famed castle entitled Her Majestys Tower. The popularity built from this book helped propel Dixons movement and the eventual permittance of the public to the castle.

This 1869 one-volume edition was published the same year as the first American edition, in two volumes.
