2-pc gents stage worn lounging ensemble c/o smoking jacket in silk velvet w/ Indian block printed cotton cutout appliqué design edged w/ soutache, lined w/ cotton sateen, functional diagonal patch pockets & matching Turkish style full trousers, worn by Robert Pizan in Reynaldo Hahn’s 1931 operetta “Brummell”, premiered at the Théâtre des Folies-Wagram in Paris in 1931, label "Gaston Zanel", CH 45.5", W 37", L 47.5", SH-SH 20", pant W 47.74", L 41.5", inseam 29.5", (label mostly removed,4.5" clumped/stiff velvet pile CF, pile worn at SHs, 2 belt buckles torn, 2.75" seam opening right armscye, few holes SHs, 13" repair CB seam, pant elastic shot, light wear) jacket good, trousers excellent.
