Item Details

Description

by J.H. Stone, Buncombe County, North Carolina (b. 1849). Very nicely potted example having bold alkaline glaze, a well defined upper rim with pinched spout above a pulled and applied strap handle attached to the ovoid body. The lower backside of the foot is impressed boldly J.H. STONE. Very good condition only minor wear to the rim consistent with age. Good overall condition throughout with no restoration. H10 3/4" Sold from the collection of Betty & Ralph Jennings of Gaffney, South Carolina.
