Description
19th Century Anglo-Indian Carved Ebony Cabinet Credenza. Constructed with four front opening doors, each door panel is intricately carved with openwork of dense floral and foliate motifs, with four columns ending on lion feet, the cantilevered top is mounted with an exquisitely carved openwork backboard. The black ebony wood is possibly Ceylonese and this type of credenza at the time was made for English Colonial residences. 19th Century. {Approx. H 45 3/4 x W 54 3/4 x D 16 inches (116.2 x 139 x 40.6 cm)}. Condition: Wear, chips, cracks, stains, and broken pieces. Ask the Asian Art Department for more information.
