Description
A most unusual electric fan made by the Lawrence M. Stein Co. of Chicago. Stein made many types of time and money saving devices in the early 1900's. The 4 blade brass plated fan is enclosed in a wire care and mounted on a 28" pipe. The whole unit stands 40" tall. The back of the fan has a pulley driven by a leather belt which is powered by a James Barker 110V electric "Pancake" motor. Last patent date on the motor is 1907. It seems to be in all original condition. Braided cloth power cord looks original. Leather belt is a replacement. There is a porcelain bases twist switch on the back of the electric motor to turn it on and off. It runs well.
