Description

Double-pedestal desk of modest proportions, with dovetailed drawers and gilt-embossed leather top. Reverse side features false drawer fronts to give the appearance of a partner's desk. C. 19th Century, likely English. Desk disassembles into three pieces. Dimensions: H 30.25" x W 47" x D 27.5" Condition: Missing key. Previously refinished, with leather top replaced. Drawer interiors with panel separation and soiling. Rich antique patina and wear throughout; a few tiny cracks, a couple chips; scattered dings, gouges, and spots of soiling to wood. Leather with a few nicks, dings and water spots.
