Artist Biography

Chris Gustin was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1952. He received his BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute in 1975, and his MFA from Alfred University in 1977. He served as Emeritus Professor at the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth until 1998. The artist's work is held in important public and private collections including the Museum of Art & Design, the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian Museum of American Art, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Everson Museum of Art, Syracuse, NY; Daum Museum of Art, Sedalia, MO; Detroit Museum of Art, MI; Mint Museum of Art, the Newark Museum of Art, the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred, the Racine Art Museum, the Shigaraki Ceramic Cultural Park, the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Icheon World Ceramic Center, and others.
