TWO FRENCH STYLE PAINTED WOOD AND FLORAL UPHOLSTERED BERGÈRES, 20TH CENTURY, comprising a Louis XV style cream painted and carved wood bergère à la reine, with arch molded crestrail centering a carved floral pendant flanked by similarly detailed shoulders above molded stiles continuing to padded arms and ending on shaped arm supports, enclosing padded back and sides over a generous seat cushion above a serpentine molded seatrail with central leafy carving, raised on cabriole legs with leafy flower sculpted hips and ending in scrolled feet, covered throughout in a white ground cotton with printed leafy floral clusters in shades of red, height: 40", width: 31", depth: 30"; together with a Louis XVI style pickled wood bèrgere en cabriolet with a curved molding crestrail continuing to sinuous padded arms with scrolled handrests on curved panel supports, enclosing padded back and sides over a thick trapezoidal cushion and bow front molded seatrail, flanked by block panels on tapering fluted legs and covered in matching red floral printed on white cotton upholstery with exterior sides covered in coordinating colors striped cotton; height: 35 3/4", width: 27 1/2", depth: 31". The Louis XV style bergère has worn flaking paint, nicks, edge wear, chips, scuff marks, small losses, age shrinkage joinery cracks, and surface build up throughout. The Louis XVI style bèrgere has some minor edge wear, nicks, edge wear, white paint residue in crevices, and surface buildup from use in areas.
