JAMES MICHAEL SORG (American/Texas 1939-2010) A PAINTING, "Get Well Soon," 1977, ink and watercolor on paper, signed and dated L/R, "Ol' Sorg '77," presented as a folded card and inscribed on the cover, "Mr. Chuck: Couldn't afford the real thing...," and inscribed on the inside at left, "So, here's a picture of some flowers. Get well soon. Love, Mike and Gladys;" 8'' x 14 1/2'', framed 11 3/4'' x 18 1/4''. Note: A member of the Fine Arts faculty at Lee College in Baytown, Texas and Palo Alto College in San Antonio, Texas.Mr. Sorg's media included painting, illustration, lithograph, sculpture, and wood crafting. He showed his works at the Hooks-Epstein Gallery in Houston, Texas and was commissioned to do commemorative works in Houston for the bicentennial celebration.
