A FRENCH LOUIS XVI STYLE CANED AND GILTWOOD BERGERE CHAIR, LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY, the arched crest rail centering a scrolling acanthus pendant flanked by leaf tip carving and ending before channeled arms with curling acanthine hand rests, on guilloche and foliate detailed supports above a bow front seat rail with laurel leaf swag carved frieze trimmed in reed and ball, enclosing caned back and seat within double caned sides and raised on tapering square form paneled legs with matching trim ending in squared feet.
