Antique Capodimonte Rococo style footed hand-painted porcelain potpourri / jewelry / trinket box with lid, with sculpted flowers on top, marked Italy on the bottom, 1890s-1910s. The lid features voluminous colorful sculptured flowers.

The bowl is c.6" [15.2cm] across; 5.1/2" [14cm] tall including top of the lid; c.2.1/2" [6.4cm] deep; some glaze damage [or imperfections] at the rim, a few flower edges look like chipped [see photos]; very good condition.

Potpourri in the Victorian era was made by combining favorite dried flowers and herbs with natural fixatives and fragrant essential oils.
