Description

Rare Rorimer and Brooks Period Art Deco Lacquered Wood Furniture Suite, c.1930's, designed by and from the estate of Cleveland artist Lawrence Blazey. Comprising Dining table, Six Chairs, Sideboard, and Desk with Desk Chair. The table of rectangular form with rounded corners, with two drop leaves, lacquered in black and creamy white, with six side chairs, each covered in moss green mohair upholstery, with custom table pads and table cover. The sideboard of stepped form, the center section with a pair of hinged doors centered by applied aluminum circular motifs (additions by Lawrence Blazey) with bar shaped pulls, with fitted interior, flanked on each side by a section with three drawers over a hinged door. The matching desk with curved open shelves lacquered in creamy white, with desk chair. From the residence of Cleveland artist Lawrence Blazey (1902-1999) See period photos showing the dining suite in the artist's home.
