Condition
**In overall good condition with wear to the decoration and engraving, but no dents, breaks or repairs noted other than the expected light bumps and scuffs associated with age. Handle and finial likely replacements of later date; vertical shrinkage crack on one side of the finial (but secure). Fully hallmarked on the underside, clean and legible, with some light rubbing on the top of the duty mark. The stand is not hallmarked but does appear to be sterling, not plate. Some wear and a couple of very tiny splits on the under-folded edge. Wooden insert and red baize underside are likely replacements. Small, lighter-colored wooden plug at the center, about 3/16" in diameter, likely filling a void left by a silver button and securing the baize insert.
