In this very large Malayer carpet, a diamond lattice design of white serrated leaves encloses star-shaped blossoms in shades of red, brown and rose that have been adapted to the shape of the lattice. The blossoms are linked by a thin pole in the horizontal direction. In the red main border flanked by two white borders, a rectilinear blue vine is decorated with palmettes, rosettes and sickle leaves. – Signs of age and wear, low spots in the pile, several old repairs and inserted sections.
