Featured in this lot is this Prehistoric Hopewell butterfly bannerstone circa 200bce- 500ce. The bannerstone shows a stout butterfly shape with sharp shoulders and a rounded baseline, the central section shows a cylindrical opening and overall polished construction. The condition of this winged bannerstone is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows good overall condition. The measurements of this bannerstone is 2 5/8" x 6 5/8.
