Native American, Southwestern United States, Navajo & Pueblo, ca. mid to late 20th century CE. Three sterling silver jewelry pieces: a shell pendant, a bracelet cuff with turquoise, and a cuff with a petrified wood inlay. The shell spire is polished to a nearly flat disc and set in a silver setting with an integral suspension bail. The turquoise cuff has 3 bezels, rope twist borders, raised spirals, and an etched linear motif. The polished petrified wood slab is set in a scalloped lip bezel face upon thick cuff wires. Prehistoric fossilized or "petrified" wood comes from Arizona is a unique resource for jewelry; it was even used as building material by Ancestral Puebloan people for thousands of years! Condition
All are wearable with age and prior use surface wear. Patina and toning throughout. Turquoise cuff is fair condition: abrasions, green and white patina encrustations. Pendant is great condition. Petrified wood cuff is great condition with some toning and white mineral deposits.
