Spidey chatters un-PC patter as he kiboshes a cabal of Vietnamese attackers: "They all looked like refugees from FU MANCHU!" Turns out the attackers are protectors of a hidden temple that Flash Thompson discovered on his tour of duty in Vietnam. In a scene that recalls the Mai Lai massacre of 1968, American troops bombard the peaceful temple, killing many innocents and making Flash a target for revenge.
