Description
Pre-Columbian, Central America, Guatemala, Peten region, Maya, Late Classic Period, ca. 550 to 900 CE. A hand-built and highly burnished pottery bowl with sizable circular pseudo-glyphs on the exterior surfaces. Along with the circles is an abstract snake bearing a sinuous black body with no discernible head and a laterally-stacked group of linear bands. Size: 7.2" W x 3.7" H (18.3 cm x 9.4 cm)
