A Yoruba style crown with a conical basketry frame and covered with beaded cloth with blue and white beads. The top of crown is surmounted by a detachable bird. The second tier has four bird figures and the third tier has two frontal faces. The bottom rim has geometric patterns with an attached open work veil. Beads, fiber, and basketry. 20th century. Nigeria. 22 1/2" x 9 1/4".Condition: Good, with some bead loss.Provenance: From a Dallas, Texas private collection.
